KARACHI (August 03 2008): With a view to increase access to technology, Intel Pakistan Corporation and Wateen have announced "IT Awareness Carnival" across Pakistan in a ceremony inaugurated by City Nazim Mustafa Kamal. WiMAX-enabled PCs will be the particular focus of the carnival. The carnival will visit 11 cities including Karachi, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Jhelum and Bahawalpur.
Special offers on the purchase of computers, laptops and WiMAX connectivity will also be offered during the campaign. It is hoped that through these campaigns Pakistanis can acquire greater 21st century digital literacy skills, which can benefit Pakistan's overall socio-economic development.
Intel Pakistan Corporation and Wateen on Saturday also announced a further initiative under the Intel World Ahead Programme: Pakistan's first-ever telco connectivity programme.-PR
