Kalay chanay ki chaat & apple fries


Firstly, thought i'd just let it be known that due to a cable internet problem (also, not to mention the frequent power cuts here in Clifton) I wasn t able to type up yesterday's recipe. I will do so ASAP.


Kalay chanay ki chaat

Ingredients
Kalay chanay boiled ½ kg
Salt to taste
Kuti hui lal mirch to taste
Chopped spring onion 1 cup
Hari mirch
Tomato puree 1 small can or 3 chopped tomatoes
Hara Dhanya
Lemon Juice

METHOD
1. In a pan, pour some oil. Add the puree, kuti hui lal mirch, salt & hari mirch. Mix well.
2. Add the chanay. Mix well (bhoon)
3. Add 2 tbs lemon juice & the spring onion.
4. Garnish with dhanya, spring onion & papri.



Apple fries

Ingredients
4 apples peeled & sliced
½ cup water & ½ cup lemon juice
¼ - ½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp cinnamon powder
breadcrumbs
peanuts
egg
caster sugar or ground sugar 4 heaped tbs

METHOD
1.Put the lemon juice & water mixture over the apples. Mix well.
2.Fry peanuts in some oil & grind.
3.Beat the egg & add the cinnamon powder, black pepper, 2 tbs lemon juice & sugar.
4. Dip the apple slices in the egg. Then roll in the crumbs.
5. Then dip again into the egg & then coat with peanuts.
6. Shallow fry.
7. Serve with chocolate sauce.
