The 2008 LS 600h L hybrid is Lexus’ flagship luxury sedan and is powered by the ultra-quiet Lexus hybrid drive system. Not only is it one of the auto industry’s most advanced gas-electric hybrid systems, the 600h, in both regular and long-wheelbase L versions, are the world’s first full V-8, all-wheel-drive hybrid passenger cars. The system combines a new 5.0-liter V-8 gasoline engine with two powerful electric motors to produce 428 horsepower and 0 to 60 mph acceleration of 5.5 seconds.
