Jab bhi Hakeem Muhammad Said ke bare parhti hun to mujhy woh waqt yad aata hai jab woh humare letters ka jawab khud likh kar bhejte the Q ke unhen maloom tha ke hum second hand NONEHAL khareed ke parhte hain issi liye Nohehal mai letter ka jwab alag hota tha aur ek Humare ghar letter alag se post ke through aata tha. Jab PC mai humderd ki taraf se karachi ke schools ka competiton karwaya jata tha aur humara school koi position hni le pata tha tab har saal woh yahi kehte the ke beta kabhi zindagi mai mushkilon se ghabrana nhi hamesha koshish karte rehna.

Day 4
Pakistan Gave Us: Ruth Pfau (1929-present)
Lovingly known as 'The Angel of Karachi' and 'Mother Teresa of Pakistan', she has devoted the last 50 years of her life to fighting leprosy in Pakistan. In 1996, Pakistan was declared by the World Health Organization to have controlled leprosy, one of the first countries in Asia to achieve this goal, largely due to her efforts.
... A German nun by birth, she moved to Karachi in 1960 and decided that the care of Pakistanis would be her life's calling. She started with medical treatment for leprosy patients in a small hut of a slum quarter. The Marie Adelaide Leprosy Center was founded and social work for the leprosy patients and their family members was started. A leprosy clinic was bought in April 1963 and patients from all over Karachi, Pakistan and even from Afghanistan started coming for treatment. To date, Ruth and her workers have cured over 50,000 Pakistanis who were suffering from leprosy.
She was given Pakistani citizenship in 1979 and has received national and international medals and awards of the highest order, including Nishan-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Hilal-e-Pakistan, Hilal-e-Imtiaz and the Ramon Magsaysay Award, commonly knows as Asia's Nobel Prize. She continues to be adviser to the government on all leprosy matters.

Day 5
Pakistan Gave Us: Nasreen Kasuri(1949-Present)-not sure about DOB

When she set up her small Montessori in 1975 just because it was time for her kids to start going to school and she wasn't satisfied with the prevalent standards of education, little did the young Nasreen know of what she was going to be in the next two decades: owner of the largest private school network in Asia!

Les Anges Montessori Academy went on to become Beaconhouse School System, which as of today, has branches in Bangladesh, In
donesia, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand and the United Kingdom with an enrollment of over 100,000 students and a faculty of 11,000 employees, 6,500 of which are teachers. Today, more than half its teachers have internationally recognised teaching certificates, with the rest under in-house training. In addition, Beaconhouse sends senior academics to the UK annually to pursue master's degrees in Education and Professional Development.

The group has contributed over 6 million US dollars as seed money for the establishment of the not-for-profit Beaconhouse National University. Established in 2003, it currently has foreign students from countries including China, Sri Lanka, Iran, Nepal, Bhutan, Australia, Russia, USA, and the UK.

The student base of Beaconhouse continues to grow at 15% per year.

Malala Yousafzai
Malala born 1998 is an eighth-grade Pakistani student from the town of Mingora in Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and is known for being a children's rights activist. At 13 years old she gained notability for championing the cause of the people of Swat by blogging for the BBC under a pseudonym about the atrocities of the Tehrik-i-Taliban regime. The international children's advocacy group KidsRights Foundation included Yousafzai among the nominees for the International Children's Peace Prize, making her the first Pakistani girl nominated for the award. South African Nobel laureate, Desmund Tutu announced the nominations during a 2011 ceremony in Amsterdam, Holland, but Yousafzai did not win the prize
Yousafzai lived in Mingora Swat, occupied by the Taliban before the military operation in 2009. During this time, education was banned and many townspeople were executed. Schools were destroyed, and girls' schools bore the brunt. She wrote a diary for the BBC under the pseudonym of "Gul Makai" where she related the deeds of the Taliban in Swat.
For her courageous and outstanding services for the promotion of peace under extremely hostile conditions, she was awarded the first National Peace Award by the Pakistani government on 19 December 2011. Speaking to the media afterwards, she expressed her intent to form a political party focused on education. Effective immediately, the Govt Girls Secondary School, Mission Road, was renamed as Malala Yousufzai Govt Girls Secondary School in her honor.
She was named after Malalai of Maiwand, a Pashtun poet and warrior woman.

Day 6
Pakistan Gave Us: Arfa Abdul Karim Randhawa (1995-2012)

The mere mention of her name can still bring tears to some eyes and sorrow to most hearts. In 2004 at the age of nine years, Arfa became the youngest ever Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in the world, a title she kept until 2008. She was invited by Bill Gates to visit the Microsoft Headquarters in USA.

In August 2005, Arfa received the Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal in the field of Science and Technology, prese
nted by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. She also received the Salaam Pakistan Youth Award in August 2005 from the President of Pakistan. Arfa Karim is also the recipient of the President’s Award for Pride of Performance. This is a very high civil award granted to people who have achieved extraordinary excellence in their fields over a long period of time. Arfa is the youngest recipient of that award.

In November 2006, Arfa was invited by Microsoft to be a part of the keynote session in the Tech-Ed Developers conference held in Barcelona. She was the only Pakistani among over 5000 developers in that conference.

Her tragic demise in early 2012 left an entire nation in grief.

Day 7
Pakistan Gave Us: Mohammad Abdus Salam (1926-1996)

Unquestionably, the greatest scientific mind produced by the country. Pakistan's first Nobel laureate was a theoretical and particle physicist and won the Nobel Award in Physics for his work on the electroweak unification of the electromagnetic and weak forces. Even in Pakistan, few people know that the existence of the recently discovered Higgs Boson was incorporated into modern particle physics by Abdus Salam, and is
an essential part of the standard model.

Salam was the founding director of Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), and responsible for the establishment of the Theoretical Physics Group (TPG) in Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC). Salam played an integral role in Pakistan's development of nuclear energy, and directed the research on development of atomic bomb project of Pakistan in 1972. He is viewed as the "scientific father" of this program in the views of the scientists who researched under him.

Salam heavily contributed to the rise of Pakistani physics community in the world and also set up the Theoretical Physics Department at Imperial College London and became the youngest Fellow of the Royal Society at the age of 33.

His major achievements include the Pati–Salam model, magnetic photon, vector meson, Grand Unified Theory, work on supersymmetry and, most importantly, electroweak theory. Salam made major contributions in Quantum Field Theory and modern theory on neutrinos, neutron stars and black holes, as well as the work on modernizing quantum mechanics.
